A little bit about me...

Hi, I'm Nawal.

Welcome to my blog.

Both of my parents are from Morocco. I was born in the U.S. and raised in Spain. I am the owner of MoraCo Imports, which I started in 2007. I sell imported handcrafted home decor pieces made by artisans in Morocco. I live in NYC.

In addition to running MoraCo Imports, I have worked with several interior designers and event planners, and I have hosted a variety of Moroccan-themed parties and cooking workshops. I also teach ESL (English as a second language) classes, am a freelance translator, and I have worked in marketing and translation agencies in NYC.

Having had such a varied cultural background, I've always been excited to learn and share about cultures, languages and people.

I feel privileged to have lived in different countries and to have experienced the uniqueness and similarities between them all.

I hope that this blog will be a new opportunity to connect with others,...to learn and to share.
